History of Constya Snacks

Constya Snacks was founded in 2022 by Constance Amougou, whose journey to entrepreneurship began long before the business officially opened. Constance arrived in the United States in 2017 for medical reasons, facing significant challenges that made it difficult for her to stand for long periods or find stable employment. Despite these obstacles, she remained determined to build a new life and create something meaningful from her situation.

During her early years in the U.S., Constance often visited local grocery stores searching for familiar foods from her home country. Each time, she noticed the same thing—there were no roasted snacks like the ones she grew up enjoying, especially the simple, natural flavors of roasted peanuts, cashews, almonds, and coconut. What she missed most wasn’t just the taste, but the connection to home and the comfort those foods brought.

This gap in the market sparked an idea. Instead of waiting for someone else to bring those flavors to the shelves, Constance decided to create them herself. In 2022, after months of planning, testing recipes, and building confidence, she officially launched Constya Snacks.
